Steiner crocheted bunny rabbit

A quick picture of something I have been working on- a little bunny for Charlotte for easter. It is made from one square of crocheted yarn, plus the ears. Very simple, and very cute! I had to resist making the bunny's face more detailed, I ended up leaving it with just the indented eyes, in the steiner style.

The pattern was from a book I had borrowed from a friend almost a year ago- thanks Saree!

Charotte and I went to the hairdressers last week, you can see her deep in thought- hmm, everyone here is having their hair cut, Mummy wouldn't possibly do that to me, would she? Nope, no hair cut for Charlotte, she cried as soon as the scissors came towards her!

If we were an unschooling family..

If we were an unschooling family, I would have a great post for Unschooling Monday. Today I was outside hanging out the nappies, Charlotte was moving our dog Charlie's bed around. It is like a platform, and she likes to flip it over and over and then sit on it. This time, she happened to flip it onto a length of PVC pipe, raising it off the ground slightly. She then walked across the top of it, she just loved what she had done- her own little see saw (or lever, as it would be called in science class). Sigh. I love her.

Why I'm too cool for facebook

Not a craft night passes without a friend or two having a stab at me about not being on facebook. To tell you the truth, in the beginning I just didn't really think it would be around for long enough to bother joining! But as time has passed, it is still here, and continues to increase in popularity. Even my eighty year old Granddad has an account!

So why don't I just join up? Mostly its because I spend enough time online as it is, I don't want something else to lose myself in. Yes, I do often miss out on being invited to things, or sometimes receive a last minute invite. But every now and then, a friend or two will give me a ring and update me on what is going on in the village  this week. We don't need to use smiley emoticons to tell each other how we are, because I can hear it in her voice.

So next time you are on facebook, and thinking, 'Bloody Victoria, just trying to be difficult', pick up your phone and give me a call.
